LA Noire The VR Case Files Emerges

Posted on 07 Sep 2017

Well received detective-em-up L.A. Noire is going even more virtual than it already was with a new edition of the game, titled The VR Case Files, bringing 7 of the game’s original cases into the sweaty face-hugging world of the HTC Vive.

The VR Case Files will allow players to interact with the world of L.A. Noire through physical actions; investigating and manipulating evidence, writing or drawing freehand in the notebook, and first-person driving where players will have to steer, use the car doors, change radio stations, and even shoot from the vehicle. I don’t know about you but we’re all hot and bothered about the prospect of messing with the door handles and radio more than picking through vital clues.

Hopefully the weird trans-dimensional morphing faces of people you talk to will be more easily readable in VR, because on a regular screen we found them hard to look at without existential terror setting in.

The VR Case Files will be available on 14 November 2017.
