Elite Dangerous – Mamba Reveal Trailer

Elite Dangerous will be getting two new ships with the free Beyond – Chapter 4 update, amongst other improvements to exploration and mining. Embedded above is the shiny new trailer for the Mamba, a sleek racing type combat ship that packs a huge amount of firepower for a medium ship. Last night also hosted the 44 minute stream which revealed the Krait Phantom, a stripped down version of the Krait Mk2.

We’ve got a sleek new ship coming to Beyond – Chapter Four in the form of the high-end Mamba ship. Today we’re premiering the Mamba Reveal Trailer, it’s suitably sleek to perfectly capture the luxurious racecar feel of this ship.

Full details and assets for the Mamba, as well as our second new ship the Krait Phantom, are below. Both ships will come to Elite Dangerous players as part of the Beyond – Chapter Four update, currently in open beta on PC.

Based on an unreleased racing prototype, the Mamba brings blistering speed combined with huge firepower to Elite Dangerous as part of the Beyond – Chapter Four update. Joining the Mamba in Beyond – Chapter Four is the Krait Phantom. Following on from its sister ship the Krait Mk II, the Phantom is a lighter, faster ship that features a spacious cargo hold and relatively generous quantity of hardpoints. Though it may not boast the same firepower as the Mk II, the Phantom can still hold its own against larger targets and has enough straight-line speed to outpace smaller ships.
