Before the Storm’s Latest Gameplay Trailer

Posted on 04 Aug 2017

Today comes another exciting gameplay trailer showcasing a little slice of the awesomeness from the forthcoming sequel to the smash hit, Life is Strange, with a brand new 10-minute sequence starring a younger Chloe Price, still dealing with her father’s death and her mom’s new man, everyone’s favorite creepy-asshole, David.

I absolutely adored the first game, which was easily one of the best titles of 2015, and knowing that its sequel, Before the Storm, is just around the corner has me smiling ear to ear. The first of three episodes, Awake, will be available to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via Steam this August 31st.

Official Press Release

Life Is Strange: Before The Storm – Chloe & David gameplay available now

Following a hugely positive reaction to the first gameplay, unveiled at E3 this year, we wanted to give fans a further, exclusive look at a brand new,10-minute piece of footage from Before the Storm, which is available to view immediately.

Returning to a familiar setting in Arcadia Bay, this brand new gameplay shows a 16 year-old Chloe Price who is still struggling with her father’s death and trying to deal with the unwelcomed entry of a new father figure, David, into her life. After a blurred awaking following events in the Mill the night before, this scene – which is cut together from a much longer sequence in game – unveils Chloe’s house for the first time in Before the Storm and provides fans a glimpse at Chloe and David’s turbulent relationship.

The first of three episodes of Life is Strange: Before the Storm is entitled ‘Awake’ and will release on 31st August 2017 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC (Steam).

The cinematic trailer first aired during the Xbox E3 Briefing can be found here:

The previously released 20 minute clip of the game can be found here:

This just looks, sounds and feels like a forced prequel that should not exist. This one isn't even developed by the orignal team either. It's also strange that the voice actress for Chloe,Ashly Burch, is writing this game but not doing the voice of Chloe anymore... i mean.. wat. I'll wait for DontNod's game, thanks.

I'll wait for the one where I can repeatedly slap Chloe in the face with my nuts, so she gets the fuck over herself
