GC: Marked for Termination

Avatar
By Bobfish21-08-2013

He'll be back, he'll always be back. For the first time in a long, long time, the original Terminator is making his way to gaming platforms (almost) everywhere. Somehow, don't ask how, but somehow (possibly involving kittens and paratrooper tortoises) Reef Entertainment have the rights to The Terminator! The Terminator.

Not some dodgy, shitty little movie tie-in or a restricted so as to be completey pointless licensed cash-in. An honest to peanuts license to bring both 1984's The Terminator (console only, sadly) and 1991's Terminator 2: Judgement Day (consoles and PC, yay!) back into the public zeitgeist. Now, I know what you're thinking, I've just completely contradicted myself. Not only is it a licensed game, it's a movie tie-in. But hear me out.

It will be awesome.

'Nuff said.

@bob - Yes! I thought it was an OK game. Not worth a full price but fun for what it was.

@NAG: That's what has me optimistic. I mean, look at The Warriors. Because it was made so long after the film, instead of having to rush to meet the concurrent release, it was a superb game.

It was also Rockstar...but still

As they don't have to meet the release date of already released films, there's some hope.

The previous game wasn't a great game, but it was alright for buying and playing if you got it cheap enough.

I wouldn't get my hopes.
After all it's yet another movie based game.
