2 Million Unity Developers
Unity is a cross platform game engine aiming to support a very wide range of hardware, while making the work of developers simpler. It took 7 years since its first introduction in 2005, for a million developers to start using Unity. Now a year and a bit later the Unity developer community has doubled, with 2 million different developers using Unity as their engine of choice. Such wide adoption, together with the support of latest rendering techniques, PC, next-gen consoles and mobile platforms may make Unity the engine most games will be based on in the near future.
